The Air Jordan 1 Low model was introduced alongside its "taller sibling" Air Jordan 1 High in 1985. This low-top model was made specifically for Michael Jordan, and just like the high-top model, the design was overseen by creative director Peter Moore, who drew inspiration from the already popular Nike Dunk Low sneakers. The main change compared to other models was the wings logo on the back of the sneakers. This silhouette is regularly released in many unique colorways. They are usually released concurrently with the High model.
