This is us

Two high school friends, Dominik and Ondra, who have been together for over 10 years.

Our story began during the COVID period when we had online schooling and had the choice to play sports, play computer games, or try to move our lives forward in a new direction. We didn't quit sports and games at that time, but we also embarked on a new entrepreneurial journey.

This is how we stored our first purchased sneakers. We were so afraid for them that we covered them with a curtain, so that no one would accidentally see how expensive sneakers we had with us.

At that time, it never occurred to us to want an e-shop or a brick-and-mortar store. We just tried to buy as many rare sneakers as possible with all the money we had.

We always managed to find a solution

Yes, this is a kitchen pot holder, a grandma's bag, and the third floor of an apartment building. When it was necessary to transport a larger number of shoes somewhere, it sometimes happened like this.

This optimism, that we will always manage to solve a given situation, fortunately still sticks with us.

Our own photos? No problem!

Except that it was the first time we held a camera and had no idea how to arrange the shoes to make them look good in the photo.

This was our studio in 2022, and we used it for our Instagram account, where all orders were placed at the time.

May 2022: Successfully graduated

Our parents' worries that we were constantly dealing with shoes and not focusing on school were ultimately unfounded. We successfully graduated from high school and were accepted into universities.

Ondra even discovered a literary genius in himself that day and, in a way unknown to all of us, brought home straight A's. Now we could fully dedicate ourselves to business.

September 2022: E-shop launch

At that time, we naively thought that launching an e-shop would simplify the ordering process and relieve us of the worries we had until then.

Only after two years of operation did we find out that building an e-shop would bring us about 200 times more worries than we had with selling on Instagram at the time.

Before the launch, we checked everything, but we still encountered a problem, for example, that the first 5 orders were for 0 crowns because some products did not have a price listed.

March 2023: New studio

We are still happy about this decision today. We managed to put together our own studio in the warehouse, so we no longer had to travel with shoes and pay for professional studios in Prague.

We use this canvas almost daily for photos and videos for our website and social networks, and we believe it will serve us for a long time.

Christmas 2023: Chaos

During Christmas 2023, there was extreme demand for our goods. In one day, we managed to send over 90 pairs of shoes. We were excited about the numbers we achieved, but it was also our most challenging period because we were not yet prepared for such pressure at that time.

We told ourselves that next year we would have to change something, otherwise we wouldn't be able to grow and maintain the service we want. This is how our phrase and period of "automation and innovation" came about.

Spring 2024: Automation and innovation

The phrase "automation and innovation" arose from our realization that if we want to grow and be able to dedicate ourselves to things that drive the business forward, we will have to automate some of our daily tasks and create new and effective ways to build the company.

Dominik took this on and, through several months of work on systems, he eased hundreds of tasks that we had to do manually. Now we all have the opportunity to do things that have a much greater impact on the company, and thus we are able to grow faster and do what we enjoy.

Present

This year has been the most difficult for us in terms of running an e-shop. We had dozens of huge setbacks, but thanks to them, we learned how to prevent them next time.

In this, we are guided by Alex Hormozi's quote, "Either the business grows, or you grow." And during this period, we definitely grew with the amount of experience we gained and the knowledge we now have.

We are already enthusiastically making big changes for successful operation next year to show that we are among the top e-shops in the Czech Republic and abroad in our industry.
